Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in Midland, Texas. The position requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, ARDMS certification, BLS, and state licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience required.
• BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state licensing where required.
• Must understand anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family regarding procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
