Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Brandon, Florida. The US Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare patients, and assist Radiologists with procedures, while ensuring accurate imaging and documentation.

A minimum of 1 year experience and ARDMS/BLS certification are required. The role requires standing for long periods and solid knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; benefits include travel pay and state licensing support

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state licensing where required.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Use ultrasound equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures.
• Report any abnormalities to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report failures.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Keep accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
