Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Jay, Oklahoma. The position requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, BLS and ARDMS certification, and state licensing where required. Duties include performing ultrasound exams, patient education, and assisting Radiologists with procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound experience required.
• BLS and ARDMS certification; state licensing where required.
• Proficient with PACS and radiology workflows.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; maintain patient records.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family about procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify areas of concern.
• Prepare exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities needing immediate attention to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report failures.
• Conduct scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
