Job summary

Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. The role involves OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular, and small parts imaging, with responsibilities across patient prep, imaging, and post-procedure care.

The candidate should have an associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography, be OBMI/ARDMS registered with BLS, and possess at least 2 years of ultrasound experience. CRASE is preferred for longer travel assignments.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
• Required: OBMI and ARDMS registered Ultrasound Sonographer; current BLS certification.
• Preferred: CRASE training for travel assignments beyond six months.
• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
• Correlate clinical history with imaging and document results.
• Prepare patients for procedures and minimize anxiety.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and accessories.
• Position patients and equipment to optimize anatomy visibility.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper labeling.
• Assist licensed practitioners and verify informed consent.
• Apply aseptic techniques and ensure patient safety.
• Administer contrast media or medications as prescribed.
• Initiate basic life support when needed.
• Educate patients and maintain confidentiality.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement efforts.
• Participate in continuing education and training.
• Fulfill other duties and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
