Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry in Olathe, KS, for a 14-week travel assignment starting 09/27/2026. Role includes 12-hour night shifts, three days per week, on a Short Term Acute Care Hospital telemetry unit. Travel pay ranges weekly and supports credentialing and onboarding.

Requirements include active Kansas RN license, BLS, and 1 year telemetry experience; float to other units and EPIC EMR use are part of the job. Healthforce provides recruiter support and orientation.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience.
• Experience with TR Band post-procedure care.
• Experience with cardiac drips (Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol.
• Ability to float to all acute care units in a fast-paced telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry patients in a cardiac/telemetry unit, including ongoing assessment and rapid response to changes in condition.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry readings, and respond to alarms to ensure patient safety.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage cardiac drip therapies per unit protocol (e.g., Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and support initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol when indicated.
• Assist with post-procedure care and procedures requiring TR Band management; document findings and plan of care.
• Collaborate with cardiology and multidisciplinary teams; participate in care planning, rounding, and documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record.
• Maintain flexibility to float to other acute care units as needed and adhere to unit policies.
