Job summary

TravelNurseSource is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Independence, MO. You will work days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with patient ratios ranging from 1:3 to 1:5 depending on shift.

The role requires MO or compact-state RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 1 year of telemetry experience. Travel experience and proficiency with Meditech are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Missouri or a compact state.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year Telemetry or related RN experience.
• Demonstrated advanced assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry unit with patient ratios 1:3-1:4 (AM) and 1:4-1:5 (PM).
• Monitor cardiac rhythms via bedside monitors and perform advanced assessment.
• Manage vasoactive drips and operate unit equipment (BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, IV pumps).
• Document care accurately using Meditech.
• Float to MedSurg units as needed per policy.
• Conduct shift reports and participate in leadership rounds to support patient experience.
