Position Description

• The Telemetry Nurse will be responsible for caring for post cardiac cath lab patients, managing chest pain, and cardiac surgical patients with diagnoses including CHF, arrhythmias, and syncope.
• The role includes managing various titratable and set rate drips such as Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, and others.
• The nurse will also work within a 24/7 central telemetry monitoring system.

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association
• RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with post procedural cath lab patients, management of chest pain, and post cardiac surgical patients, with the ability to titrate drips.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling invasive cardiac devices and post-surgical recovery procedures.

Schedule

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.

Additional Information

• No self-scheduling; block scheduling may be available based on unit needs.
• Shifts generally include Friday through Sunday options, and every other holiday.
• Floating may be required based on census.
• Orientation includes onboarding and unit-specific training.
