Job Summary

Telemetry Nursing Specialist, Nights The organization is seeking experienced telemetry nursing professionals for a high-acuity unit specializing in medical cardiac care. This position involves providing quality patient care in a fast-paced telemetry unit, utilizing advanced skills in cardiac monitoring, drip management, and clinical procedures. The role requires a commitment to patient safety, team collaboration, and adherence to unit protocols.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights; 12-hour shifts, working a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in medical cardiac care.
• Experience: Experience or skills in medical cardiac clinical environments.
• Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, managing drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem, troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment including High Flow oxygen and BiPAP, and performing ECG interpretation.
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation lasts for 3 shifts.
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.
• Additional Information: Nurses are responsible for self-managing their ECG strips and using GE telemetry monitors; virtual monitoring is used for patient oversight.
