Travel RN will provide specialized care in a Trauma/Neuro Spine setting, manage drains and post-surgical care, and may float to other units as needed. Licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS are required; 2 years of related experience preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of related clinical experience.
• Ability to work night shifts, 7 PM–7 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry care in a high-acuity unit including neuro spine postoperative patients.

• Manage chest tubes and groin sites after interventional procedures.
• Rotate to other medical-surgical or telemetry units as needed.

Job Details

• Position Description: Neuro Spine Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Trauma) nurse with expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking skills, drain management, and post-surgical care, including chest tube and groin site management after interventional radiology procedures.
• Qualifications: RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; 2 years of experience in related clinical areas; location within 50 miles of the facility; ability to work night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for higher acuity patients, including stroke, DKA, renal failure, and post-operative neuro/spinal surgeries, with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. Floating to other medical-surgical or telemetry units may be required.
