Job Summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The assignment begins on 05/04/2026 and lasts 13 weeks, with a 12‑hour night shift schedule for a total of 36 hours per week.

Assignment Overview

• Shift: 3 x 12‑hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hrs/wk

Details

• Work in a 36‑bed Telemetry unit at a hospital in Bowling Green, KY.
• Patient ratios typically 4:1 with cath recovery; maximum 6:1 (may occasionally reach 7:1).
• PCTs are available on both day and night shifts; Unit Clerks available on day shift only.
• Equipment: remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps.
• Charting performed in Meditech.
• Every other weekend rotation required.
• Travelers float first and may be assigned to Ortho/Med‑Surg as needed.
• 13‑week contract.

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) that do not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start.
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia management.
• US Social Security Number (SSN) and date of birth (DOB) required for consideration – Canadian SSNs not accepted.
• One professional reference.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Additional Information

• Procedures performed: chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, thoracentesis.
• The unit follows a Telemetry Monitoring Policy and a Stroke Policy.
• Any scrubs are acceptable except camouflage print.
• Staff recognition: Daisy and Bee award certificates, monthly staff‑voted STAR award.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility – local candidates are not eligible.
• AHA or ARC certifications accepted.
