Job summary

JobDiva, Inc. in Santa Fe, NM seeks a Travel Surgical Technologist to support OR services for a 13-week contract. Day shift, 4 days x 10 hours, ASAP start. Requires BLS and CST or LVN/LPN license. Onsite. Will scrub multiple specialties and maintain sterile technique while assisting in pre-operative care and patient transport.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years' experience, ability to work under supervision, and strong teamwork. EPIC EMR experience preferred; weekend/on-call often requested.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license required.
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or LVN/LPN program required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient skin for surgery and maintains aseptic technique.
• Establishes and maintains sterile field and passes instruments to the surgeon.
• Transports patients to and from the OR and positions them for surgery.
• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care in the OR under supervision of a nurse.
• Follows hospital policies on decontamination and sterilization of instruments.
