Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals seeks a Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in a Colorado ambulatory surgery center. The role requires current Colorado licensure and at least 1 year of experience, with duties including sterile technique and instrument handling.

The position is a 13-week assignment with dayshift hours, supporting the surgical team in routine procedures and patient care within a fast-paced setting. Competitive weekly pay and lodging/meals stipends are included.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist program completed and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of surgical experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Working knowledge of AORN standards.
• Basic computer skills for online learning and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile and aseptic technique while providing instrumentation to the surgical team.
• Ensure proper packaging, processing, and sterility of surgical items and equipment.
• Monitor the sterile field for contamination risks and initiates corrective action as needed.
• Participate fully in Time Out Process, including briefings and debriefings.
• Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and room preparation.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Function under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
