Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Surgical First Assistant - Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Clackamas, OR. The role supports surgeons throughout operative procedures, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative care management. Strong emphasis on patient safety and ethical practice in the operating room.

Required are CSFA/CRNFA certifications, RN license, and BLS. ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Surgical First Assistant RN background and CSFA/CRNFA certification.
• Current RN license per state regulations and BLS required.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and sterile techniques mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures with exposure and hemostasis.
• Prepare and position patients; maintain sterile field.
• Anticipate instrument need and manage equipment and supplies.
• Document patient information as needed and ensure safety protocols.
