Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel Sterile Processing Technician for a hospital contract in Charleston, SC. This role leads SPD operations and supports decontamination, prep/pack, and sterilization across all areas.

The position requires CBSPD and/or CRCST - HSPA certification, 3+ years of sterile processing, and prior leadership experience. Expect 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of sterile processing experience.
• Prior leadership experience is required.
• Familiarity with electronic instrument tracking systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lead Technicians and SPD staff across all areas including decontamination, prep/pack, sterilization, case carts, and storage.
• Assign staff daily based on workload and priorities.
• Oversee instrument tracking, documentation accuracy, and inventory control.
• Coordinate staff orientation and training plans with educators and managers.
• Manage daily SPD operations to meet surgical case demands.
• Monitor tray turnaround times and instrument availability.
• Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues in real time.
• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and regulatory standards.
