Qualifications
- 1 year recent Stepdown RN experience
- Current RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Responsibilities
- Monitors and interprets telemetry data and cardiac rhythms
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
- Prepares equipment for cardiac procedures and assists physicians
- Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients
- Documents patient status and notifies physicians as needed
- Responds to cardiac emergencies per protocols
- Documents nursing history and assessments
- Educates patients on cardiac health and risk factors
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for telemetry care
- Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety protocols
