Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL. The role offers nights, a 3x12 schedule, and a competitive weekly pay range of $1,724–$1,834. You will join a dedicated clinical team to care for patients transitioning from ICU to stepdown units.

Required qualifications include 1 year of stepdown RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN is required.
• Current RN license complying with state regulations is required.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) is required.
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and assess cardiac status; notify team of changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.
