Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel assignment in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Start date 09/22/2026 for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, nights shift. Travel employment with full benefits through a Joint Commission-certified agency.

Requirements include active RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS, and 18 months of acute care PCU/step-down experience. Client facility may add further requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS Certification.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
• Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation and changes in medical plan of care.
