Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role offers nights, a competitive weekly pay range, and an opportunity to care for patients transitioning from ICU to stepdown units.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac meds, collaborate with the care team, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Current RN license and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Observes patient status and notifies physician of changes
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac protocols
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
