Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in St. Augustine, Florida. The role focuses on monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering meds, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to transition patients from ICU to stepdown units.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Records patient conditions and notifies supervisor or physician of cardiac status
• Responds to life-saving situations per hospital protocols in cardiac emergencies
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within scope of practice
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
