VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. The role is an intermediate care position within a hospital setting, requiring an ASAP start and a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

This travel assignment offers opportunities to work with hospitalists and intensivists, coordinate shifts, and provide essential patient care in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• RN license for West Virginia or compact license accepted.
• ASAP start for travel assignment.
• 13-week contract for RN Stepdown travel role.
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care unit within a hospital setting.
• Read and interpret tele monitors and strips independently.
• Titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and Lasix as needed.
• Manage respiratory equipment including high flow and Bipap devices.
• Collaborate with Hospitalists, Intensivists, and RTs in a 24/7 in-house staffing model.
• Support patient diagnosis and management of chest pain, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post Caths, and overflow patients.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific protocols and safety standards.
• Assist in patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
