Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit in a hospital setting, primarily working night shifts. The role involves caring for patients with conditions such as heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke. It requires ability to interpret telemetry strips, titrate drips, and participate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/28/2026 to 02/01/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry interpretation, titration of drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin, and previous work in a fast-paced cardiac or stroke unit.
• Additional Information: The unit is a fast-paced step-down department with high admit and discharge rates. Nurses are expected to float to ICU if appropriate and have experience with telemetry and telemonitor reading. Candidates must adhere to patient care policies, including prohibition of artificial nails and compliance with fingernail policies. Candidates must have a valid drivers license, and must not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with the organization in the past year. RTO requests must be specified upfront, as additional RTOs will not be approved.
