Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring TN or compact licensure, EPIC proficiency, and ER holding experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patients may require step-down care from ICU but do not require vent or pressor support
• Handles drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotolol initiation
• Provides telemetry monitoring and care
• Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating within the hospital is required based on skill set
• Responsibilities include managing telemetry patients, administering specified drips, and performing sotolol initiation
• Nurses may float to other qualified units within the hospital
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday coverage may be required during the assignment
• Eligible only if residence is at least 50 miles from the facility for night shift roles

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum one year of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele or related unit
• Minimum one year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• ER holding experience required
• Must provide two professional references
• Candidates for night shift must reside at least 50 miles from the contracted campus to be eligible
