Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. This 13-week contract requires a 36-hour workweek with 12-hour night shifts at an acute care facility.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, an accredited nursing degree, and BLS certification, plus 18 months of recent Step-down/PCU experience. Additional facility requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• 18 months of recent experience in Acute Care PCU/Step-down.
• Other client facility requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Document the plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
• Revise and document the plan of care according to evaluation and medical changes.
