American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with MBSS expertise for a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital and a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role requires at least 2 years of full-time acute care experience or LTAC experience, and a strong MBSS skill set.

The position features a day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), with 2 weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis. Local candidates are advised that the strict 50-mile radius rule applies.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of full-time acute care hospital experience (Level 1 Trauma preferred) or LTAC experience.
• Must be highly skilled at completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with Level 1 Trauma and a 40-bed inpatient rehab unit.
• Rehabilitation Therapy Services includes PT, OT, and ST.
• Provides 1-on-1 speech therapy to patients.
• Performs MBSS in radiology.
• Uses Meditech EMR for documentation.
• Day shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Works 2 weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis.
• No on-call or floating requirements.

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of full-time acute care hospital experience (Level 1 Trauma preferred) or LTAC experience
• Must be highly skilled at completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies
• Candidates with experience solely in SNF, Outpatient, Pediatric, or School settings will not be considered
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital (Level 1 Trauma, Neuroscience, ICUs, ECMO, Burn, Oncology, Ortho & Spine floors, 600 beds) and 40-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation unit
• Rehabilitation Therapy Services department includes PT, OT, and ST disciplines
• Provides 1-on-1 speech therapy treatments to patients
• Performs Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) in radiology
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Must work 2 weekend shifts per month on a rotating basis
• No on-call or floating requirements
• Work alongside a team of 27 FT PTs, 19 FT OTs, and 9 FT STs
• Utilizes therapy equipment such as walking aids, bikes, bars, and treadmills
• Success in this role favors candidates who are flexible, accountable, and open-minded with a good sense of humor
