Responsibilities

• Develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities and reduce aspiration risk.
• Design communication strategies to help residents both express themselves and understand others.
• Lead, guide, and direct delivery of speech-language pathology services in accordance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
• Provide care and services tailored to resident needs within the long-term care setting.
