Job summary

Pioneer Healthcare Services seeks a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a hospital assignment in Redding, California. The role offers 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts and a 13-week term.

The SLP will assess communication and swallowing needs, develop individualized treatment plans, provided therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CA licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' communication and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Implement interventions in various settings, including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for continued support.
