Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice interventions.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and discharge summaries in the electronic documentation system.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary health team members.
• Attend patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Supervise CFY or student SLPs as needed.
• Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards.
