Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for a travel assignment in Lewistown, Missouri. This long-term acute care role requires 40 hours per week, dayshift, 8-hour blocks, and a 13-week duration starting early November 2026.

Active LTC/Rehab experience and MO licensure (where applicable) are expected. Responsibilities include assessment and therapy for communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, with collaboration across the rehab team and regular progress

• Communicate progress with supervisors and interdisciplinary team
• Prepare discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
• Supervise CFY or student SLPs where applicable
• Participate in meetings and ongoing training

Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and LTC/Rehab experience for a long-term care facility.

Details

• Long-term care setting within the Speech Language Pathology unit
• Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour days
• Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM as long as consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehab
• No weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the Monday-Friday schedule, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Active MO state license required if applicable
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New graduates considered if they have completed Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient)
• Adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics required

• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals as needed
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system in accordance with company policy
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company training, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• May supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted
