Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Virginia is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in North Chesterfield. The role requires 1 year of experience, or 6 months for exceptional candidates, and involves evaluating and planning care for patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments in acute care.

You will diagnose, treat, and educate patients, create therapy plans, perform screenings, document progress, and coordinate with families and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• ASHA, BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in North Chesterfield, VA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
