Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient (SLP IP) in Alaska. The position involves providing inpatient speech language pathology services at a facility with 175 beds. This is a 13-week assignment starting as soon as possible, requiring adherence to state of Alaska fingerprinting and background check protocols. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, rotating to include weekends, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and clinical expertise.

Job Details

• Schedule: 7:30AM - 6:00PM, 4,10-hour shifts, rotating schedule to include weekends
• Required Qualifications: Valid SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC), state of Alaska licensure or eligibility, at least 1 year of relevant experience, current background check through the National Background Check Service (NBCS), and eligibility for provisional or cleared status to start the assignment
• Preferred Qualifications: FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) and MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) credentials are highly preferred
• Additional Information: The candidate should be a team player with a cooperative personality. Typical procedures performed include FEES and MBSS. The unit primarily utilizes the Meditech electronic medical record system. The dress code is hunter green scrubs. Heavy weekend rotations and on-call duties are required during the assignment.
