Job Summary:
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Inpatient position available in a hospital setting. This role involves providing assessment and therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive impairments. The position offers a fast-paced environment on an acute rehabilitation unit, focusing on evaluations, treatments, and patient/family education.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 09/30/2026 and ending on 12/30/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas State Licensure or a Compact State License in Speech-Language Pathology in hand; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; 1 year of experience; experience with adult and geriatric populations; proficiency with evaluations and treatments for swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits; knowledge of EPIC (Electronic Patient Record) charting system; ability to complete evaluations and treatments for patients with neurological conditions and swallowing or communication deficits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, Parkinson's disease, neurological conditions, and specialized assessments such as the Western Aphasia Battery, Boston Aphasia Evaluation, or similar.
• Additional Information: The caseload includes 10-14 patients daily on an 18-bed rehab unit, with long treatment sessions averaging 45 minutes. Therapists may need to float to similar units as needed and will receive orientation on the unit. The role involves hands-on therapy, evaluations, and patient/family education, focusing on adult and geriatric populations.
