Qualifications

• Active licensure to practice speech-language pathology in California (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment within a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for residents with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with resident needs and facility policies.
• Provide direct therapy and document progress, adjusting goals as appropriate.
• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, medical, and therapy teams to support safe, efficient resident care and discharge planning.
• Educate residents and families on communication strategies and dysphagia management; ensure patient safety and adherence to HIPAA standards.
