Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to improve or maintain speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing function.
  • Provide direct therapy to residents, including therapy for dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and related communication disorders.
  • Document progress notes, adjust treatment plans based on resident response, and communicate findings to the interdisciplinary care team and families.
  • Participate in care planning and discharge planning as appropriate, ensuring goals align with quality of life and safety considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and facility requirements, including accurate documentation, billing, and patient safety standards.
