Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 25-week assignment in Selma, CA. The role requires ASHA-SLP national certs, BLS, and state licensing; 6 months of experience preferred.

Duties include evaluation and plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care, with duties spanning assessment, treatment planning, and progress reporting. Expect 32 hours per week across 8-hour shifts, with a tax-free stipend and weekly pay typical of travel assignments.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certificate with state-specific licensing.
• SLPs must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

TravelWe are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Selma, CA. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
