Job Summary

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages with speech and language needs.
• Acts as a role model in delivering professional clinical services.
• Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.
• Collects and integrates case history information from patients, families, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Selects and administers appropriate evaluation procedures for each patient.
• Recognizes and respects the needs, values, communication preferences, and cultural/linguistic backgrounds of patients and their support systems.
• Conducts comprehensive speech and language pathology assessments.
• Selects or develops suitable materials and instruments for prevention and intervention.
• Develops and implements patient-specific plans of care with measurable, achievable goals.
• Collaborates with patients and relevant stakeholders in the care planning process.
• Interprets and synthesizes assessment data to create and adjust treatment plans.
• Implements interventions to address the functional and emotional needs of patients and families.

• Completes thorough and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborates and communicates with patients, families, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process, providing necessary education and training.
