Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions with flexibility in caseload management, ensuring the plan of care is communicated and progressed throughout the length of stay
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory agency requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing (or eligibility to practice in Oklahoma)
• Demonstrated clinical reasoning skills to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge
• Knowledge of and adherence to the discipline-specific professional code of conduct and applicable State Practice Act
• Ability to complete thorough and timely medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an inpatient or acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning processes
• Active involvement in professional development, continuing education, and professional organizations
