Job summary

CompHealth Inc. is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist in Los Angeles, California for a 13-week travel assignment. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in adult inpatient acute care units including ICU, NICU, spine, cardiac and neuro services.

VFSS and FEES experience is required; MoCA-based cognitive evals for CVA patients are performed. The assigning recruiter handles housing, travel, licensing, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience as a traveling Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
• VFSS and FEES experience is required.
• Experience in adult inpatient acute care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients in inpatient settings including ICU/NICU and neuro units.
• Perform speech-cognition evaluations for CVA patients (MoCA).
• Collaborate with care teams and document progress and outcomes.

• M - F, 9 am - 5:30 pm -- 40 hours guaranteed
• Adult inpatient acute setting
• Hospital -- ICU, NICU, spine, cardiac, and neuro units
• Swallow patients make up the bulk of caseload
• VFSS and FEES experience required
• Speech-cog evals for CVA patients -- MoCA administered

Per week (based on a 40-hour week). Includes estimated taxable wages of $21.23 - $53.93 per hour and estimated tax-free reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing of $900 - $1,400 per week based on GSA guidelines (subject to eligibility, location, and seasonal adjustment).
