Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Midland, Texas. The contract spans 20 weeks, with 40 hours weekly and 8-hour day shifts. Immediate start for an SLP with 6 months of experience (1 year preferred).

Required: ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing and BLS. Duties include diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders, creating therapy plans, and maintaining regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Midland, TX. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
