TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Falkville, Alabama. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, dayshift, with ASHA-SLP certification and BLS. Travel, pay packages based on 8-hour shifts, and a tax-free stipend may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• ASHA SLP certification and BLS are required for travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Falkville, AL. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
