Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. The role involves diagnosing, treating and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders with 40 hours per week over a 13-week duration, typically on a 10-hour daytime shift.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing. New grads may apply, and tax-free stipend details are to be confirmed.

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Anchorage, Alaska.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Anchorage, AK. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
