Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Sedro-Woodley, WA. The role spans 13 weeks with 40 hours per week and requires ASHA, BLS, and state licensure.

The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, voice, and swallowing disorders across varied patient populations in an acute care setting. Strong documentation and communication with medical teams are essential.

Qualifications

• BLS required; ASHA certification for SLP; typically 2 years of experience.
• Exceptional candidates with relevant background may have 6 months experience.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP national certification with state-specific licensing.
• SLPs must be able to stand/walk for long periods and bend/stoop as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and status to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
