Job summary

TotalMed Allied has an immediate travel opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Santa Maria, CA. The contract runs for 13 weeks at 40 hours per week, day shifts, with travel duties.

The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, voice, and swallowing impairments in an acute care environment. Candidates need BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and state licensure; 1 year of experience is preferred, though exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
