Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment near Henderson, NC. You will support a self-contained classroom of 9 elementary students, with weekly 37.5-hour schedules and access to non-taxable stipends and travel assistance.

This role emphasizes collaboration with two teaching assistants, development and implementation of IEPs, and fostering an inclusive learning environment while building leadership and adaptability across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain in NC).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
• Proven classroom experience, preferably in an elementary or self-contained setting.
• Strong collaboration skills and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support a classroom of 9 elementary students in a self-contained special education setting.
• Collaborate effectively with 2 dedicated teaching assistants.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Track progress, communicate with parents, and participate in team meetings.
