Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Peoria, AZ. The role covers K-12 classrooms, delivering inclusive and individualized instruction to diverse learners.

Under the supervision of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will plan and implement student programs, collaborate with general education staff, and provide targeted instruction and consultation to support student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation.
• Participate in team planning and program implementation for student success.
