Aya Education is hiring a Special Education Teacher in Mount Clemens, MI. You will develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with other educators and families, and adapt lessons to diverse learning needs. The role offers up to 40 hours per week with afternoons off and weekends free.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement (DOE) required.
• Experience with IEPs preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and legal requirements
• Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities to enhance instructional effectiveness
