TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Lawton, OK. The role requires 1 year of experience, ARDMS certification, and BLS, with state licensing as needed.

You will perform OB/GYN sonography, educate patients, and support Radiologists with procedures while maintaining equipment and records. The position offers a travel assignment with 40 hours per week, days shifts, and a tax-free stipend.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and handle exam-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or family regarding procedures performed.

• Prepare the exam room and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies.
• Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report any machinery failures.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and use McKesson PACS system.

Job Description & Requirements

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Lawton, OK. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed


• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern


• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies


• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff


• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure


• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results


• Maintain accurate patient records


• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
