Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Medford, Oregon. This travel role features 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in Medford, OR.

The US Tech will perform ultrasound exams, prepare rooms, and coordinate with radiologists to ensure accurate images for interpretation. Requires one year of experience, BLS, ARDMS certifications, and state licensing where required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of ultrasound/vessel imaging experience required.
• BLS and ARDMS National Certification plus state licensing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families regarding procedures.
• Identify areas of concern using sonographic equipment.
• Prepare exam room and assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures.
• Report abnormalities to medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report failures.
• Perform scans and write reports based on results.
• Maintain patient records and use McKesson PACS.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Medford, OR. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
