Job summary
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week assignment in Mill Valley, California. The position offers 40 hours per week in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting with day shifts.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program, NPTE, and CA PTA licensure/certification. BLS is strongly recommended. Travel status with on-site work and weekly pay is provided by Pioneer Healthcare Services.
Qualifications
- Completion of accredited PTA program.
- Passing NPTE required.
- CA PTA licensure/certification required.
- First Aid (BLS) certification recommended.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed.
