Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state license as an SLP or in the licensure process.
• CCC's required.
• CPR certification required.
• At least one year of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients that require treatment for speech, hearing and/or language deficits.
• Teach patients how to make sounds, improve voices, or enhance oral/written language for effective communication.
• Teach swallowing techniques and compensatory strategies to prevent choking.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services per physician orders.
• Assess needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Set realistic goals for patients to develop or recover communication and swallowing skills.
