Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility with acute care elements in Hilltop, West Virginia. The 13-week contract offers guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range, with shifts from 08:00 to 16:30, five days per week (5x8).

The role involves evaluations, therapy across speech, language, cognition, and swallowing, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and documentation to support discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment.
• 13-week contract with guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and deliver evidence-based therapy for communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans; document progress and adjust as needed.
• Provide therapy across domains including speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary rounds; educate patients and families about treatment goals and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and adhere to facility policies and coding/billing requirements.
